Obituary of Cleta Butler Lowrey

Cleta Butler Lowrey, born January 13th, 1930, passed away on April 20th, 2013 at the age of 83 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 with viewing from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA. Rev. Sidney Martin will deliver the eulogy. She will be laid to rest at Fellowship Cemetery in Columbia. Cleta was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. "Pete" Lowrey, parents, William Howard Butler and Catherine Elizabeth Haddox. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Phyllis Denise Lowrey and longtime companion Robby Rhodes, of Covington, LA and Debra Ann Lee and her husband Terry, of West Monroe, LA. Sister, Velda Dozier and her husband Hillery. Grandaughter, Tonia Masters Poole and her husband Daryl of Bush, LA and special Great Grandson Hunter Blake Rowland, of Bush, LA. Sisters in Law Patsy McGinty and her husband David, and Maureen Lowrey of Sterlington, LA. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Basil Fuller, Rick Greer, Dale Powell, Kevin Lowrey, Gary Watts, and Steve May. Honorary Pallbearers will be William "Hoot" Reitzell, David Erskine, Jerry Masters, Sidney Martin, A.B. Masters, Jr. and all past present employees of Texas Gas Corp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund at Fellowship Baptist Church.
