Obituary of Erselle Tullos Jacobs

Erselle Tullos Jacobs, age 82 of Hebert, Louisiana was born on May 22, 1930 and passed away May 3, 2013 peacefully after losing her battle to cancer. Visitation will be Sunday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m. for family and from 6:00 p.m. Till 8:00 p.m. for general public at the Columbia Church of Christ, Highway 4 East, Columbia, Louisiana. Services will be Monday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. at the Columbia Church of Christ, Highway 4 East, Columbia, Louisiana conducted by Drew Keahey and Sam Sitters. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Hebert, Louisiana. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia, Louisiana. Erselle was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friends to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. "Dub" Jacobs, her son, Dubby Jacobs, her parents, Leonard and Bonnie Kelly Tullos, and three brothers, Neal Tullos, Leonard Elzy Tullos, and Audrey Tullos. She is survived by her son, Johnny B. Jacobs and wife Cathy of Booneville, Arkansas, two daughters, Lavon Beckley and husband of Monroe, Louisiana, and Bonne Hope DeHaven and husband Larry of Benson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Christina Jacobs Blaschke and husband Ben; Corie Beth Jacobs of Booneville, Arkansas; Brad Michael Beckley of Hebert, Louisiana; Kyle DeHaven of Benson, Arizona, Allyson DeHaven of Benson, Arizona; one great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Beckley; one brother, Aubrey Tullos and wife Pansy of Hebert, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Tullos of Grayson, Louisiana, Georgia Tullos of Hebert, Louisiana; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Gerry McIlwain, Rick Duckett, Mark McIlwain, Jessie Honeycutt, Reed Keahey, and Denva McKeithen.
