Obituary of Alton Johnson

Funeral services for Alton Lamar Johnson, age 57, of Olla will be held 2pm Saturday May 18, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with the Rev. Edward Smith and Rev. Randy Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla. Visitation will be on Friday evening, May 17, 2013 at the funeral home from 3pm until 8pm . Alton Lamar Johnson was born on April 14, 1956 at Jena, LA to the union of his parents, Alton Fife Johnson and Helen Louise (Thacker) Johnson. He passed from this life on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Life Care Hospital in Shreveport following an extended illness. Lamar was an employee of the LaSalle Correctional Center in Urania, and a member of the Rosefield Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie Cruse Johnson of Olla; his daughter, Amber Coleman and husband, Lance of Tullos; and his beloved grandson, Ryland. He also leaves his parents, Alton and Helen Johnson of Urania; and four sisters: Theresa Shelton and husband, Ronnie of Alexandria, LA, Pam Johnson, Robin Johnson, and Kathy Johnson, all of Urania.
