Obituary of Jr. Conway

Visitation for Joe A. Conway, Jr., age 90 of Grayson, will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Interment will be at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale, TX. Mr. Conway was born on February 2, 1923 in Fort Smith, AR to the union of Joe and Jessie Conway and passed from this life on Sunday, August 11, 2013. He worked as a drilling fluid specialist. Mr. Conway served as an Airforce pilot in World War II. He was an avid golfer, animal lover who supported the SPCA and a strong Republican. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Joleen Conway Webster. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margrete F. Conway; son, Jay Conway and wife, Toni both of Grayson, LA; sister, Teeny Swanson of Enid, OK; six grandchildren: James O. Wolfe, Jennifer Wilcox (Curt), Catherine Duman, Sam Webster, Christy Dunlap (Jeff) and Doug Underwood (April); ten great-grandchildren: Jade Guevara, Avery Dumas, Mallory Dumas, Baylor Dumas, Dylan Underwood, Adrienne Lucas (Caleb), Kennedy Griffin, Grant Griffin, Jaxson Dunlap and Molly Kate Dunlap and two great-great-grandchildren: Carson Lucas and Lukas Guevara.
