Obituary of Dorothy Regan

Funeral services for Dorothy Dunn Regan, age 87 of Columbia,, LA will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Rev. Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks, LA. Visitation will be 5 PM to 8 PM Monday, September 23, 2013 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Mrs. Regan was born on May 4, 1926 in Standard, LA and passed from this life on Friday, September 20, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, LA. She was involved in politics as the first female Police Jury Member for Caldwell Parish, a member of the National Republican Committee and was personal secretary to John McKeithen. She attended Columbia Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beulah Sharplin Smith and her husband, Gordon Earl Regan, Sr. Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons: Gordon Earl Regan, Jr. and wife, Carol of Tampa, FL, David Anthony Regan of Houston, TX and Robert Howard Regan and wife, Wendy of Douglasville, GA and three grandchildren: Savannah Brittany Regan, Brandon Montana Regan and Harrison Bryant Regan. Pallbearers will be David Regan, Robert Regan, Gordon Regan, Jr., Harrison Regan, Brandon Regan, Terry Johnston and Steven "Ole Snake" Dark.
