Obituary of Wayne Carr

Funeral services for Wayne Carr, age 59 of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Bosco Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Underwood officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Wayne was born November 1, 1953 to Arlin Robert and Ruby Downs Carr in Monroe and he passed from this life on September 21, 2013 at E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe. He was a glazer and a fabricator for Ruston Glass and Mirror. He thought a lot of and cared for his many coworkers. He was very artistic and enjoyed woodworking and working on cars. He enjoyed spending time with his boys and his grandson. He loved his large family. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Brenda McMillon Carr of Monroe; two sons: Eric Carr of New Orleans and Matthew Carr of Monroe; two brothers: Willie Carr and Robert Carr; six sisters: Bonnie Torres, Lenora Holder, Lemora Elliot, Patricia Underwood, Onita McMillon, and Juanita Carr; grandchild: Peyton Carr who brought much joy to Wayne; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be Gene Atchinson, Todd Atchinson, Jeffrey Haddox, Kenneth McMillon, Kevin Elliot, and Kaleb McMillon.
