Obituary of Jan Meredith

Funeral services for Jan Meredith, age 49 of Ward 5, will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2013 at Old Bethel Baptist Church in Clarks with Bro. Jimmy Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until the service Friday at the church. Jan was born October 11, 1963 to Jonie Frank and Jettie McDowell Patton in Winnfield and she passed from this life on September 25, 2013 at her residence. She was a housewife and loved working in her yard and taking care of her plants. She loved to cook and shop. She was preceded in death by her brother: Terry Joe Patton. She is survived by her husband of 33 years: Brian Meredith of Ward 5; two sons: Michael Bryan Meredith and his wife Miranda of Hebert; Casey John Meredith and his wife Kimber of Monroe; his parents; brother: Frank Patton, Jr. and his wife Kim of Joyce, LA; sister: Shirley Frances Hickey and her husband Glenn of South Carolina; six grandchildren: Savannah Michelle Meredith, Jordan Paige Meredith, Kaylee Grace Meredith, Jaycie Vandalia Meredith, Chance Byron Meredith, and Chloe Lynn Meredith; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Oby Meredith, Luther Ray Stapleton, Jeremih Lee, Glen Barnhill, Terry Wayne Kelly, and Russel Price.
