Obituary of Estelle McKnight Conner

Graveside services for Estelle McKnight Conner, age 84, of Lake Charles, formerly of Kelly, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles. There will be no visitation. Estelle was born July 9, 1929 in Luxora, Arkansas to the union of Floyd and Clara McKnight and she passed from this life at the Grace Home Hospice Care in Alexandria on October 31, 2013. She was a Christian woman of great faith and lived by the word of God. She was a graduate of Enterprise High School in Enterprise, LA and she was a member of Columbia Church of Christ; She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years: Nolan Conner; daughter: Olla Mae Aplin; son: Tony Conner; sister: Betty McKnight McGuffee; brothers: Stanley McKnight and Stacy McKnight. Survivors are her daughter: Melonie Conner White and husband Daniel of Kelly, LA; son: Chris Conner and wife Laurie Odom Conner of Fort Worth, TX; daughter-in-law: Anna Conner; sister-in-laws: Norma McKnight and Eileen McKnight; 4 grandchildren: Ron Hidalgo, Jr., Lea Conner, Dan White, and Matthew White; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; She raised another "daughter": Donelda Conner Casteel, a much beloved friend, who was always by her side. Pallbearers will be Ron Hidalgo, Jr., Tracy Casteel, Austin Casteel, Bryan Casteel, Tim Conner, and Eric Conner.
