Obituary of Jean Ostten

Jean Ostten passed from this life to Heaven on November 7, 2013 from Bryant, Arkansas after a long illness. She was born August 2, 1939 to Tannyhill Granger and Maggie Deshotel Granger. She was preceded in her death by her daughter Sandra Kay McKenney her father Tannyhill Granger, mother Maggie Deshotel Granger, four brothers, Horace Granger, Hosey Granger, Clinton Granger and Whitney Granger, two sisters, Ferna Judice and Dee Ganaway. She is survived by her husband Evangelist Ronald Lee Ostten, Sr., one sister Betty Briscoe of Sulpher, Louisiana and by four children and their mates, pastor Ronald Lee Ostten Sr. & wife Roberta Ostten of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Evangelist Steve Ostten & wife Connie Ostten of El Reno Oklahoma, Youth Pastor John Paul Ostten & wife Elizabeth Ostten of Beaumont, Texas and one daughter Hope Yvette Curtis & husband Pastor Vance Ray Curtis Sr. of El Paso, Texas. She is survived by 13 grand-children, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be at the Riser & Son Funeral Home in Columbia, Louisiana on Friday November 15, 2013 at 11 AM and the wake will be on Thursday Evening November 14, 2013 from 5 PM to 6:30 PM for the family and for the friends at 6:30 PM until 9 PM. The burial will be at the Old Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarks, La. Officiating the services will be Dr. Ronald Lee Ostten, Sr: Dr. Ronald Lee Ostten, Jr. and Dr. Steven Homer Ostten. Jean has been a blessing to all who know her and has served in the ministry with her husband for 48 years. She was married to her husband for 57 years on April 15, 2013. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
