Obituary of Seth Colten Shipp

Funeral services for Seth Colten Shipp, age 21 of Grayson, will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert with Bro. Billy McClanahan officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday From 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM at the church. Services will be under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Seth was born August 17, 1992 to Sammy Shipp and Stacy Parker in Monroe and he passed from this life on November 12, 2013. He graduated the Youth Challenge Program at Camp Beauregard in 2009. He loved to sing and play his guitar. He loved computers and was a very caring person. His heart was as big as his chest and touched everyone he met. He loved his mom and dad very much. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Roger Brown and C.H. Shipp. He is survived by his father: Sammy Shipp and his wife Cynthia of Grayson; his mother: Stacy Parker of Columbia; sister: Victoria West Shipp of Monroe; Maternal grandparents: Marvin and Debbie Parker of Gilbert; Paternal grandmother: Gwen McClanahan Brown of Columbia; two aunts: Teri Parker Barfield and her husband Mark; Donna Brown Franklin and her husband Shannon; uncle: Rod Shipp and his wife Amy. Pallbearers will be David Kincaid, Thomas Maxwell, Dakota Clay, Eric Byrns, Slade Darden, Joseph Dilley, Lauten Walsworth, and Randal Hudson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dave Cobb, Al Emmons, and Johnny Edgar. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Citizens Progressive Bank or Riser Funeral Home P.O. Box 57 Columbia, LA 71418 to help with burial expenses for Allen Atkinson.
