Obituary of Sable Rider

Graveside services for Sable Simms Rider, age 23, of Columbia, will be held 10 AM Wednesday April 20, 2011 at the Columbia Hill Cemetery with Rev. Sherman Jones officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9AM until 9:45 AM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Sable was born November 23, 1987 to Tony Simms and Toya Perkins in Monroe and she passed from this life on April 17, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother: Toya Perkins; her brother: Gabe Phillips. Survivors include her husband: Joe Rider of Columbia; her father: Tony Simms and his wife Lindy of Alto, TX; her son: Andy Proffer of Clarks; step-daughter: Alexis Rider; two brothers: Darryl Phillips of New Iberia and Kevan Simms of Mandeville, LA; her sister: Callie Hardy of Opelousas. Pallbearers will be Daniel DeMoss, Dustin DeMoss, Justin Bailey,Josh Proffer, Darryl Phillips, Will Sikes, Cliff Stamper, and Brandon Nugent. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Andy L.
