Obituary of Steven Ray Blake

Funeral services for Steven Ray Blake, age 19, of Olla, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Bro. Tony Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Blake Cemetery in Olla . Steven was born on October 5, 1994 to Leeroy Blake and Natalie Garsee in Shreveport and he passed from this life on January 8, 2014. He was a Senior at LaSalle High School. He was very friendly and outgoing and he loved fishing and hunting. He was always first to help somebody and he believed in God and loved Him very much. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Donald Blake; great-grandmother: Aro Blake. He is survived by his father: Leeroy Blake and his wife Patricia of Olla; mother: Natalie Garsee and her husband Rickey of Columbia; brother: Roy P. Blake of Caldwell Parish; sister: Amber Blake Cupples and her husband Tyler, Sr. of Clarks; two half-sisters: Chrissy Lynn Davis and Susan Rose Blake; grandmother: Lavenia Blake; grandfather: Roy C. Davis: grandmother: Angie Lynn White; nephew: Tyler Cupples, Jr.; niece: Caroline Blake; numerous aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Randall Blake, Brandon Hines, James Cruse, Talon Caststeel, Corbin Baum, Hoy Lane Phillips, and Christopher Eli Street. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Senior class at LaSalle Parish High School.
