Obituary of Winnie Hudson

Services for Winnie Emma Harvey Hudson, age 89 of Columbia will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2008 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Norman Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia. Mrs. Hudson was born in Leesville, LA on November 16, 1918 to the union of William Elmer and Leo Lofton Harvey and died Friday, June 7, 2008 at the Oaks Nursing Center in Monroe. She was retired as a cafeteria worker in the Caldwell Parish School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: James N. "Jim" Hudson, her sister: Erpha Lively and her brothers: Lloyd Harvey and Louis Harvey. Survivors include her daughter: Francis "Dee" Duke of Monroe formerly of Columbia, her son: James "Bo" Hudson of Elleree, South Carolina formerly of Columbia, her grandchildren: Kim Rose of Flowery Branch, GA, Kay Storm of Cookville, TN, Wayne Duke of Monroe, Deondra Bacle of Cookville, TN, Brenda Dawe of Sebring, FL and Sherry Cekala of Linden, VA, eleven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Rose, Wayne Duke, David Storm, Wayne Hopper, Pete Lively and Jack Harvey.
