Obituary of George Nation

Services for George Willard Nation, age 62 of Olla, will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from the sanctuary of Standard Baptist Church in Olla with Rev. Wallace Ingles and Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery in Urania. Mr. Nation was born March 3, 1946 in Holum and passed away Monday, June 16, 2007 at Hardtner Medical Center. He was a log yard supervisor with Hunt Forest Products and a member of Urania Baptist Church. His father, Willard A. Nation preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 42 years; Sarah Wilson Nation, his mother; Jimmie B. Parker Nation, two daughters; Sarah Lynell Anding and her husband, Aubrey of Olla and Toni Michelle Nation of Olla, three brothers; Bill Nation and his wife, Julie of Milton, FL, Donnie Nation and his wife, Thelma of Copenhagen, and Travis Nation of Urania, five grandsons; Taylor Wyant, Chris Hines, Devin Hines, Kane Wyant, and Collin Hines, two special nephews; Bryan Wilson and his wife, Faith of Tallahassee, FL and Randell Nation and his wife, Dallas of Copenhagen, and a host of other nieces and nephews that he thought the world of. Pallbearers will be Gary Nailor, Paul Hines, Roy Hardy, Damon Smith, Keith Reeves, and Lance Blackman. Honorary pallbearers are his five grandsons, Willie Peters, Tyrel Hinton, and Logan Hinton.
