Obituary of Estelle Brown

Funeral services for Estelle Faulk Brown age 66 of Monroe will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday February 5, 2014 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Mims and Rev. Roger Dean Laffoon officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday February 4, 2014 at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the Burroughs Garden of Memories, East of Columbia. Estelle Faulk Brown was born on July 18, 1947 at Columbia, LA to the union of her parents Alcie Clarence Faulk and Nancy Louella (Hatten) Faulk, and passed from this life on Sunday February 2, 2014 at the St. Francis Medical Center-Downtown Campus following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Brent Faulk and sister: Nellie Ainsworth. Survivors include: Her husband John R. "Johnny" Brown ,Monroe son: John Randolph Brown, Jr and wife Kathy; Gun Barrell City, TX; Daughter: Kim Bryan and husband Steve of Monroe; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters: Lou Triplett, West Monroe; Lessie Gosdin, Swartz; and Ellen Moseley, Columbia; and four brothers: Elvis Faulk of West Monroe,Bennie Faulk, West Monroe, Douglas Faulk of Rocky Branch, and Jay Faulk of Cody, Wyoming. Pallbearers include Pee Wee Beckley, Wade Dickerson, Charles Duff, Richard Oliveaux, James Whittington, and Elvis Faulk. Honorary pallbearers include Steve Bryan and Lavelle McLeland. The Brown Family would like to say a special thanks to Estelle's sister, Lou Triplett, who was devoted and dedicated to her sister's care until the very end. They would also like to thank Dr. Ayallore and staff at the St. Francis Medical Center for their devotion and care given to Estelle during her lengthy illness.
