Obituary of Addria Gordy

Funeral services for Mrs. Addria Ann Sanders Gordy, 88 of Grayson, LA will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA with Bro. Gilbert Reese and Bro. Kevin Naillieux officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Cemetery. Visitation will be at Riser Funeral Home Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 9 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Addria was born to Joseph L. Sanders and Mary Francis Gore Sanders on February 24, 1925 and passed away February 8, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilson M. Gordy; son, Eddie Ray; grandson, Michael Chad Wright; two brothers, Robert Sanders and Paul Sanders and a sister, Gladys Meredith. Survivors include her daughters: Betty Carr and husband, Larry of Columbia, Judy Wright Briant of Monroe, Rita Rohling Gordy of Fort Walton Beach, Kathy Masters and husband, William of Swartz and Carolyn Stapleton and husband, Ricky of Columbia; two sisters: Irma Sanders and Kathryn Shattuck both of CA; brother, Joseph Sanders of Ruston; eleven grandchildren: Kevin Carr, Gregory Carr, Kimberly Carr, Bryan Wright, Ryan Wright, Rebecca Ann Rohling Wilkes, Buddy Rohling, John Barnes, Stephanie Masters Norton, Jessica Masters and Timothy Glen Stapleton; thirteen great-grandchildren: Cody Wayne Stapleton, Katelyn Renea Young, Corbin Rohling Wilkes, Zavier Rohling Andres, Amber Michele Wright, Ciara Turner, Ava Barnes, Kevin Lee Carr, Jr., Elizabeth Carr, Turner Carr, Kaleb Carr, Kristen Alger and Keith Duchesne and two great-great-grandchildren: Hunter Carr and Kayla Alger. Pallbearers will be Kevin Carr, Gregory Carr, John Barnes, Buddy Rohling, Timothy Glen Stapleton, Bryan Wright and Ryan Wright.
