Obituary of Norma Rea Roberts

Funeral services for Norma Rea Roberts, age 84, of Grayson will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Norma was born December 25, 1929 to Charles and Gustavea Wyant Cassels in Duty Ferry and she passed from this life on February 12, 2014 at her residence in Grayson. She was a good mother and wife who was very caring, giving, and loving. She was very outspoken, but she was a caretaker to everyone and would take anybody in. She was a very Christian woman who was a member of Grayson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husbands: Charles Roberts and Samuel Charlie Chambers; daughters: Dianne Chambers Webb and Leta Jean Roberts; granddaughter: Honora Willhite; sister: Katie Lea Stewart; brothers: Thomas Cassels, Curtis Cassels, and Troy Monroe Cassels. She is survived by her son: Charles Isaac Chambers; brother: Aubrey Cassels; sisters: Audrey Shaffers and Effie Abrams; eleven grandchildren; thirty six great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Sammy Chambers, Zachary Chambers, Ronnie Wyant, Brandon Martin, Berlon McClanahan, and Dale Peton.
