Obituary of Darren Jacobson

Services for Darren Edward Jacobson, age 34 of Copenhagen Community, Columbia will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2008 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Stan Wyant officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosefield Cemetery in Rosefield. Mr. Jacobson was born in Monroe on February 22, 1974 and died Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Columbia from injuries received in an automobile accident. He owned and operated D & H Express Lube and Service Center in Olla. He was also a member of the Holum Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: W.E."Jake" Jacobson. Survivors include his wife: Hollen Gay Jacobson, his children: David Harrison Jacobson, Sarah Ramsey Jacobson and Emilyanne Morgan Jacobson all of Copenhagen Community, Columbia, his parents: Dennis and Janis Jacobson of West Monroe, his brother and sister-in-law: Chris and Michelle Jacobson of Tyler, TX, his sister: Melissa Jacobson of Waco, TX, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Tom and Kem Gay of Columbia, his maternal grandparents: Archie and Virginia Wyant of Columbia, his aunt and uncle: Sue and Gary Jacobson of Sterlington, his niece: McKenzie Jacobson, his grandmother-in-law: Dr. Margaret Wilder of Ruston and a host of other family members. Pallbearers will be Chris Hunt, Jon Cader, Russell Flint, Richard Davis, Landon McGrew, Charlie Lafferty, Nick Rowland Paul Duke. , and Denious Jacobson . Any planned memorials may be made to the Gideons, First United Methodist Church of Columbia or the Holum Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia.
