Obituary of James Scogin

James Eugene Scogin passed from this life on February 24, 2014 at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania following an extended illness. James was born on September 27,1954 to the union of his parents M K Scogin and Nelwyn Joy (Jordan) Scogin in Cleveland , Texas. Mr. Scogin worked as a truck driver for most of his life and was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister: Lois Jean Simmons and and his two brothers Dave Erwin Scogin and Richard Herman Scogin. Survivors include his beloved wife : Martha Shaver Scogin of Olla, LA; his daughter: Amanda Jean Sunderland of Olla; two sons: James Paul Scogin of Conroe, Texas and Mitchell K. Scogin of Cold Spring, Texas; one sister: Sheila Scogin of Cleveland, Texas; and his nine grandchildren: (From Olla, LA) Jacob Sunderland, Kristen Sunderland, Hailey Sunderland, Brianna Scogin, James Alexander Ian Scogin, and Paul Michael Donovan Scogin ,(from Cold Spring, Texas), Morgan Scogin, James Scogin, and Mitchell Scogin.The Scogin Family is holding a memorial service in Cold Spring, Texas on June 14th, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Cedar Valley on the Trinity.
