Obituary of Curtis Kelly

Funeral services for Curtis Monroe Kelly, age 87 of West Monroe, will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 13, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Bro. Billy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, LA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Mr. Kelly was born on May 28, 1926 in Williana, LA to the union of his parents, James Monroe Kelly and Frances Elizabeth McCelland Kelly and passed from this life on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, West Monroe, LA. The paternal line to Mr. Kelly is as follows:Jacob Kelly, father of Lloyd Kelly, father of Isaiah Kelly, father of Lloyd Kelly, father of Ephiram Isaiah Kelly, father of James Monroe Kelly, father of Curtis Monroe Kelly. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky D. Kelly; grandson, Brandon Kelly and his siblings. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Salome Ann Kelly; four sons: Curtis E. Kelly (Charlotte), James L. Kelly (Terri), Steve R. Kelly (Bonnie), Mark D. Kelly (Margie Foster); five grandchildren: Alex Kelly, Belinda Nielsen, Bobby Joe Kelly, Angelea Kelly Parker and Marcus Kelly; seven great-grandchildren: Samantha Kelly, Little Bobby Joe Kelly, Justin Kelly, Logan Kelly, Christian Nielsen, Faith Kelly and Kaylea Parker and one great-great-grandchild, Paisley Kelly. Pallbearers will be Bruce Shelander, Paul Branch, Johnny Estes, Mike Copeland, Marcus Kelly and Alex Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Estes, Terence Parker and Randy Conville.
