Obituary of Mary Puckitt

Funeral services for Mary Sue Poole Puckitt, age 93, of Olla will be held 2:00 pm Saturday April 26, 2014 at the Riser Funeral chapel in Olla with the Rev. Eddie Riley officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday as well from 1:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery. Born Mary Sue Poole on October 7, 1920 ; she went to meet Jesus on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at the Winnfield Nursing and Rehab Center in Winnfield, LA. Mrs. Puckitt was preceded in death by her father James W. Poole who was born in Winnfield, LA and her mother: Maggie Stovall Poole who passed away when Mary Sue was five years old. The bulk of the Stovall Family came from the Stovall Plantation in Jackson Parish. She is also preceded in death by her husband George Charles Puckitt, her son: Charles Allen Puckitt who went to meet Jesus in Heaven on Tuesday January 29, 2008; her brother: James Willie Poole,Jr.; her step-mother: Angie Hendricks Poole; and her half sister: Barbara Lipsey. Survivors include her beloved grandchildren: Tim Allen Puckitt, Kathy Elizabeth Puckitt, and Debra Jeanne Puckitt; great-grandchildren: Chad Allen Puckitt, Brett Austin Puckitt, Kristen Paige Puckitt and Lauren Victoria Stringer; a host of great great grandchildren; her half sister: Jimmie Lou Roberts and a host of nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
