Obituary of Bennie Coleman

Funeral services for Bennie Coleman, age 79, of Pineville, formerly of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Todd Whittington officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Squires Cemetery in Summerville. Bennie was born September 6, 1934 to Charles and Lettie Coleman in Summerville and he passed from this life on May 3, 2014 at his residence in Pineville. He was a retired auto body repairman. He served his country in the Army for 3 years and served in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Kim Coleman Broussard; his parents; brother: Murphy Coleman; sisters: Alice Grafton and Ruth Crick. He is survived by three sons: Roger Coleman and his wife Wanda of Pineville; Lance Coleman and his wife Amber of Tullos; Mark Coleman of North Carolina; two brothers: Bobby Coleman and Ted Coleman; sister: Betty Ann Rambin; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Shane McDaniel, Harold Keene, Chad Renfrow, Brandon Renfrow, Cecil Jones, and Bruce Jones.
