Obituary of Joy Lynn Street Thompson

Funeral services for Joy Lynn Street Thompson,age 71,of Urania, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Urania Pentecostal Church with Rev. LaVerl Shell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 PM until service time Wednesday. Interment will follow at the Urania Cemetery. Joy was born September 15, 1942 to Allie and Myrtle Street in Olla and she passed from this life on May 4, 2014 at her residence in Urania. She was a housewife who was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a caring soul and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy Deloy Thompson; son: Kevin Thompson; her parents; three brothers: Allie "Buddy" Street, Jr.; Monroe Thomas Street, and William Francis Street; sister: Eloise Street. She is survived by two daughters: Cindy Richey and her husband Elson of Manifest, Melanie Breland Howell and her husband Kevin "Kebo" of Urania; sister: JoAnn Albritton and husband Johnny of Olla; grandchildren: Jennifer Renfrow and her husband Ron, Eddie Thompson and his wife Amy, Michael Thompson and his fiance Rachel Boyler, Jaye Breland, Levi Thornton and his wife Natalie, Tyler Richey, Stephanie McGuffee, Morgan Lafferty, Kyle Sanders, and Elijah Howell; gerat-grandchildren: Hunter Renfrow, Kailey Renfrow, Nathan Renfrow, Braylee McGuffee, Conner Thompson, Ryker Thompson, Bryar McGuffee, and Adelyn Cate Thompson. Pallbearers will be nephews: Garland Ray Street, Micheal Street, Marshall Street, Keith Street, Jerod Foster, and Daylin Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be son-in-laws: Elson Richey and Kevin "Kebo" Howell; grandsons: Eddie, Michael, Jaye, Levi, Kyle, and Tyler. Donations may be made to Riser Funeral Home to help with the funeral expense.
