Obituary of Harold Howard

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Dean Howard, age 69 of Pride, LA, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastor Tony Cassells officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at Riser Funeral Home. Mr. Howard was born September 11, 1944 in Columbia, LA to the union of Edwin and Hazel Howard and passed from this life after a brief illness at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Lane Medical Center in Zachary, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Edwin Howard; a sister-in-law, Doris Howard; a nephew, David Howard and a grandson, Joshua Shaun Black. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Linda Howard; a son, Harold Dean Howard, Jr of New Orleans; two daughters, Naomi Yvonne Howard Goulart and husband, Kenny of West Monroe and Stephanie Suzette Howard Laird and husband, Debs of West Monroe; a step-son, L. Allen Gibson of Pride; a brother, Lawerance Thomas Howard and wife, Lavern of Prairieville; sister-in-law, Vivian Baker and husband, Bob of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter, Amy Gibson of Pride and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be R. Scott Baker, L. Allen Gibson, Kenny Goulart, Debs Laird, Carol Weeks and Ronnie Brown. Howard spent many years as a salesman in the automotive industry. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
