Obituary of Freddie Wheeler
Services for Mr. Freddie A. "Jack" Wheeler, age 81 of Hebert, will be 2 PM Sunday, August 31, 2008, at Woolen Lake Church of God with Bro. Wesley Manning and Bro. David Tabora officiating. Interment will follow in Woolen Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Woolen Lake Church of God from 4 PM to 9 PM. Mr. Wheeler was born in Hebert on October 26, 1926, to the union of Charles A. and Mary Elizabeth Wynn Wheeler and passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Wheeler was a member of Clarks United Pentecostal Church. He was a teller of tales and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Frank Wheeler and his sister; Mildred Panjarkis. Survivors include his wife of 59 years; Leathey Oliveaux Wheeler of Hebert, two daughters; Sarah Jones and her husband, Gary L. of Alexandria and Fredericka Joyce Lowery and her husband, Roy Glen of Columbia, brother; Huey P. Wheeler and his wife, Shelby Jean of Monroe, sister; Lola Belle Davis of Monroe, sister-in-law; Ora D. Wheeler of Monroe, three grandchildren; Lance Fife, Sara McClanahan and Caleb Lowery, two great grandchildren; William Fife and Cade McClanahan, special relatives and friends; Jim and Katherine Oliveaux. Pallbearers are Lance Fife, Ricky Fife, Gary Jones, Roy Lowery, Caleb Lowery and Terry Lowery. Honorary pallbearers are Louis Mullenix, Sonny Dyer, Jim Oliveaux, Al White and Frank Wheeler, Jr.
