Obituary of Chuck Stapleton
Funeral services for Chuck Allen Stapleton, age 50 of Grayson, will be held at 10 AM Friday, September 19, 2014 from the sanctuary of Cross Roads Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Duke officiating and Antonio Hearn delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 PM to 9 PM at Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Mr. Stapleton was born on May 14, 1964 to the union of his parents and passed from this life on Monday, September 15, 2014. He worked with the LaDOTD as a heavy equipment operator. Chuck had many hobbies during his life that included riding motorcycles, restoring classic cars, woodworking in his sawmill and gun collecting. He was a member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Willie Earl and Nolia Stapleton, Cary T. Ratcliff and Lois Reeves Ratcliff and Tech Sgt. Lawrence Sanders and Hazel Mildred Sanders and his brother-in-law and special friend, Walter Speegle.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Renee Stapleton of Grayson; parents, Gerry and Linda Stapleton of Clarks; son Jarrett Allen Stapleton of Columbia; daughter, Sonni Wyant and husband, Chris of Grayson with their daughter, Aubree Wyant, called "Feety Fie" by her grandfather; brother, Jamie Stapleton and wife, Kathy of Columbia; sister-in-law, Helen Speegle; nephew, Michael Stapleton; niece, Brooke Stapleton; his special friends, the Gang of 510 with LaDOTD and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
