Obituary of Wanda Simpson McMullen

Funeral services for Wanda Simpson McMullen, age 64, of Grayson, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Wayne Hendrixson officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery west of Grayson. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Wanda was born September 17, 1950 to the union of John E. Simpson and Odell Antley Simpson in Winnsboro and she passed from this life on October 18, 2014 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church west of Grayson. She was employed with Another Chance of Columbia. She loved her church family but most of all she cherished her children. She was preceded in death by her parents: John E. Simpson and Odell Antley Simpson; nephew: Ronnie Harper. She is survived by the father of her children: Roy McMullen of Hebert; five sons: Curtis McMullen and friend Shannon Leger of Spring, TX; Roy Craig McMullen of Grayson; Shane McMullen and wife Jeannie of Columbia; Brannon McMullen of Grayson; Justin McMullen of Grayson; adopted daughter: Janet Gough of Grayson; brother: Dwayne H. Simpson and wife Cathy of Alexandria; four nieces: Erin Simpson, Jessica Pearce, Cheryl Eager, and Skeeter (Chlotile) Harper; sister-in-law: Virginia Kelly; five great-nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chris May, Daniel May, Jeremy Simons, Harry Whittington, Dakota Diel, and Andrew Strange. Honorary pallbearer will be Carl Fatheree.
