Obituary of Martha Wright

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Lord Wright, age 87, of Oak Ridge and formerly of Grayson will be held 10:00AM Tuesday December 9, 2014 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Crandell officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of service. Martha Lord Wright was born on February 22, 1927 at Baskin, Louisiana to the union of her parents, the late Harvey Andrew Lord and Alma Lee Cheek Lord and she passed from this life on Saturday December 6, 2014 at the Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, LA following an extended illness. Mrs. Martha was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter,sister, and friend. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Her personality was one of love and devotion to her family, and everyone who knew her truly loved her and she will never ever be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward McDowell and her nephew Stanley Gebbia, and by three brothers: Raymond, Lindy and Mike Lord. Left to cherish a lifetime of memories her son: Mitchell McDowell and wife Irina of Metarie, LA; her sister: Lovie L.
