Obituary of Rhonda Jean Cavazos

Funeral services for Rhonda Jean Cavazos, age 50, of Grayson, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Visitation will Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Rhonda was born November 8, 1964 to Buddy and Nancy Spires in Columbia and she passed from this life on December 27, 2014 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She was a homemaker. She was a wonderful and loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Otis Gordy, Sr. and Ruth Gordy; grandparents: D.C. And Lucy Spires; niece: Betty Jo Boyd; in-laws: Merced and Eva Cavazos. She is survived by her husband of 32 years: Manuel Cavazos, Sr. of Grayson; son: Manny Cavazos of Grayson; daughter: Tesha Girod and her husband Severan of Clarks; parents: Buddy and Nancy Spires of Grayson; brother: John Spires, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann; sister: Ruth Thomas and her husband Dan of Kelly; grandchildren: Eva and Lydia Girod; nieces and nephews: Megan May, Austin Thomas, Karli Thomas, Clayton Spires, Mason Spires, and Logan Spires; uncle and aunt: Otis Gordy, Jr. and Denise; step-grandmother: Daisy Gordy; a host of cousins. Pallbearers will be: John Spires, Clayton Spires, David Williams, Stacy Cavazos, Josh Caraway, and Danny Caraway.
