Obituary of Sr. Ruddell

Funeral services for Johnny Byrl Ruddell, Sr., age 83 of Olla, LA will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 from the sanctuary of Standard Baptist Church in Olla, LA with Reverend Shad Tibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 10 AM until time of service at the church. Mr. Ruddell was born November 18, 1931 in Standard, LA and passed from this life on January 7, 2015. He was a veteran, having fought in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a motorman in the oilfield industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Elbert and Beulah Beatrice Ruddell. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Arlene Stapleton Ruddell of Olla; two sons: Johnny Byrl Ruddell, Jr. and wife, Ofelia of Olla and Roger Corley and wife, Connie of Rowlett, TX: 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
