Obituary of Martha Greer

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Helen Greer age 83 of Grayson, La. will be held 3PM Wed. Nov. 19, 2008 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 4PM to 9PM at the funeral home. Martha Helen Volentine was born on February 9, 1925 at Duty Ferry ,Louisiana to the union of her parents the late Albert Nathan Volentine and Lucy Onie Alexander Volentine. She met and married the love of her life Henry Frank Greer, who also preceded her in death. She was an active member of Grayson Baptist Church. Survivors include- Her daughter- Gayle Doughty & husband David of Columbia. Her sister- Margaret Volentine Foreman and husband Richard of Oceanside, CA . Three grandchildren- Jeff Wages of Columbia, Sharon May & husband Marion of Columbia, and Peggy Duchesne & husband Randy of Columbia. Six Great Grandchildren- Anthony Nowland, Nathan Nowland, Randall Duchesne, Tyler Duchesne, Randel Hudson, Roxie Wages, all of Columbia. Step Great Grand Children-Jamie May and Brandon May. Great Great Grand children-Carter Rider and Drake Duchesne.
