Obituary of Frank Perot

Funeral services for Frank Perot, age 88 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 1, 2015 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Ivy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Burroughs Garden of Memories, east of Columbia. Visitation will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mr. Perot was born on June 26, 1926 in Caldwell Parish, LA to the union of Joseph Henry Perot and Laura Holmes Perot and passed from this life on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at LA Extended Care Hospital in West Monroe, LA. Frank was a veteran of the Army having served in WWII and the Korean Conflict and received several awards. He enjoyed fishing, believing if it was big enough to bite the hook it was big enough to keep. Frank was blessed with the talent of singing. He will be truly and dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myrtle Green Perot; daughter, Carolyn Thomas; step-daughter, Sue Perot; grandson, Brian Brewer; four brothers and four sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters: Sugar Sanders and husband, Jake of Grayson, Elaine Walsworth and husband, Mike of West Monroe, and Lynn Hall and husband, Dave of Columbia; step-children: Charlene Perot and husband, Jerry of Hebert, Gene Caraway and wife, Judy of Hebert and Vickie Gibson of Nashville, TN; brother, R.E. Perot and wife, Portia of Columbia; twenty-one grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Clevey Grant, Randy Grant, Ritchie Grant, Robin Grant, Jason Brewer and Carl Fatheree.
