Obituary of Myrtle McCormack

Services for Mrs. Myrtle Josephine Cassels McCormack, age 93 of Rosefield will be 2 PM Sunday, December 21, 2008 from the sanctuary of Rosefield Baptist Church in Rosefield with Rev. Harrell Tucker and Rev. Johnny Barnhill officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery in Rosefield. Visitation will be Saturday, December 20, 2008 from 1 PM to 9 PM at Rosefield Baptist Church in Rosefield. Mrs. McCormack was born on October 13, 1915 in Catahoula Parish to the union of Rev. Charlie Van and Cora Etta Holmes Cassels and passed away on December 18, 2008 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. She was a member of Rosefield Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Fred L. McCormack, children; David McCormack, Betty Crawford and Ricky McCormack, siblings; Ike Cassels, Murphy Cassels, Tim Cassels, Loyd Cassels, Guy Cassels, an infant boy Cassels, Bess Griffin, Amy Wyant, Rachael Hudson and Bert Ford, grandchildren; Merle Crawford and Danny Welch, great grandchildren; Cindy Eubanks, Billy Eubanks, Brittanie Welch, Joshua Powell and Guy Morrison, great great grandchildren; Haylon Douglas and Kaylon Douglas. Survivors include her daughters; Ruby Beckley of Rosefield and Freddie Welch and her husband, James of Rosefield, brother; Val Cassels and his wife, Ann of Farmerville, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and twenty-eight great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Danny Welch, Ben Beckley, Chad Gauthier, Dylan Welch, Jacob Crawford and Cody Lisenby. Honorary pallbearers are Damion Powell, Phil Crawford, Michael Varnell, Jr., Jonathon Crawford, Amos Tomlinson and Cleston Tomlinson.
