Obituary of Bonnie Bratton

Riser Funeral Home Columbia, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie James Bratton, age 84 of Kelly will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 from the Old Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Goodman and Rev. Keith Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Bratton Family Cemetery at Kelly with under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Riser Funeral Home and on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church. Bonnie Lee James Bratton was born on April 30, 1924 at Yale County, Arkansas to the union of her parents: Alma Nelson James and Flora Tackett James. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years: Dave A. "Jack" Bratton, two infant children , one infant grandchild, one brother and five sisters. She was a member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church an avid flower gardener and loved arts and crafts and crocheted among many other activities. Survivors include three sons: David Bratton and his wife: Rebecca of Urania, Aubrey Bratton and his wife: Cathy of Kelly and Ray Bratton of Kelly. two daughters: Betty Wilson and husband: Curtis of Kelly and Georgia Watson and her friend: Richard Dunbar of Wilmett, Illinois. Sixteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Grandsons serving as pallbearers include Eddie Dunn, James Wilson, Timothy Bratton, James Shirley, Chris Wilson, Nick Bratton, Jason Bratton, and Brandon Bratton .
