Obituary of Eldridge "Edge" Rogers

Funeral services for Eldridge Lee "Edge" Rogers, 68 of Wisner, LA will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Mark Accetturo and Jack Tomalewicz delivering the eulogies and Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery, Grayson, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Edge was born on February 25, 1947 in Columbia, LA to the union of James Thaddeus and Mary Kathleen Lutrick Rogers and passed from this life on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his residence. He retired after many years as a superintendent in underground utility construction. Edge enjoyed being on the water with its many activities including boating or fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Howard Rogers. Survivors include his sons: Jaret Rogers and wife, Casey, Michael Lewin and Mark Lewin and wife, Donna; daughter, Jenna Cain and husband, Mark; brothers: Horace W. Rogers and wife, Iris and Dwight D. Rogers and wife, Sharon; sister, Margie K. Tomalewicz; grandsons: Jaxson Rogers and Brayden Weinberg; nieces and nephews: Ron Rogers, David Tomalewicz, Matt Tomalewicz, Sarah Tomalewicz, Adrianne Rogers, Brandon Rogers and Lauren Rogers Young and seven great-nieces and great-nephews. Pallbearers will be Mark Accetturo, Vernono Anderson, Ron Rogers, Matt Tomalewicz, Brandon Rogers and Bobby Ellis. Honorary pallbearers will be David Tomalewicz, Tom Derry, Lauren Rogers Young, Sarah Tomalewicz, Thomas Rogers, Lucas Rogers and Rodney Temple.
