Obituary of Aundrae Hendrix
Riser Funeral Home Columbia, LA Obituary: Aundrae Meredith Hendrix
Funeral services for Mrs. Aundrae Irene Meredith Hendrix age 65 of Columbia will be held 2 p.m. Thursday January 22, 2009 at the Old Bethel Baptist Church west of Clarks with the Rev. Jim Goodman and Rev. Keith Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Adams Cemetery west of Kelly. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Old Bethel Baptist Church from 4pm until 9pm. Mrs. Hendrix was born on July 19, 1943 at Columbia to the union of Alva Ernest Meredith and Gladys Lucille Sanders Meredith. She passed from this life on January 19, 2009 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following a long fought battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children: John Hendrix, Jr and Ginger Gail Hendrix, and her brother Buel Meredith. She was a member of Old Baptist Baptist Church and was a employee of the United States Postal Service for some twenty years. She was an avid bowler, being a member of the WBA. She enjoyed watching any sporting events especially those that her children and grandchildren were involved in. Aundie loved being outside and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include: her daughters: Trena Mills and her husband: Beau of Grayson and Clivette Scroggs and her husband; James of Kelly, Her grandchildren: Maci and Meredith Scroggs, Jesse Hendrix, and Gus Mills, her brother and his wife david Meredith and Irene of St. Francisville and her sister and her husband Izora and Shelby Cruse of Columbia.Her long time friend and sister-in-law: Bobbie Mae Hendrix of Kelly. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers include will be Russell Price, Elbert Pauley, Shelby Cruse, Ricky Ratcliff, Leslie Fallin, and Glen Hendrix. Bud Kinnison will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Any planned memorials should be made to the Old Bethel Christian Academy, P.O. Box 95, Clarks, La. 71415.
