I have only just learned this terrible news, and I can't make it real. Randi is so vivid in my mind: her creativity, her love for language, her warm smile, her kind heart. I am so sorry to learn of our loss. It was my privilege to know her and to be her professor.
Randi was a student in my memoir writing class a few years ago. She was a seet natured, intelligent young woman with a talent for writing. What a loss she is to me, to her family and to all she had yet to achieve.
