Obituary of Macey Wheeler

Services for Mrs. Macey Allen Weatherford Wheeler, age 78 of Hebert, will be 10 AM Monday, February 2, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Jack McKeithen, Bro. Floyd Duchesne and Rick Richmond officiating. Interment will follow at Woolen Lake Church of God Cemetery in Hebert. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Columbia on June 14, 1930 to the union of Ace I. and Marie Jackson Weatherford Wink and passed from this life on January 31, 2009 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia after a long and wonderful life. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church in Hebert and before her passing she was a resident of Haven Nursing Center. She was a licensed CNA and had worked at Citizens Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, A.C. Wheeler, Jr., five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include four sons: Donald R. Wheeler and wife, Susie of Hutto, TX, Johnny A. Wheeler and wife, Judy of Cleveland, TX, William T. Wheeler of Hebert, LA and Larry O. Wheeler and wife, Sandy of Archibald, LA, four daughters: Iona M. Sprowles and husband, James of Taylor, TX, Peggy L. Dannehl and husband, Larry of Hebert, LA, Juanita A. Castleberry and husband, James of Georgetown, SC and Mary Jane Goodman and husband, Tim of Georgetown, LA, twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Mike Wheeler, Rick Wheeler, Kenneth Dannehl, Ryan Wheeler, Christopher Wheeler, Alan Goodman, Matthew Castleberry and Jay Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandsons and great-grandsons.
