Obituary of Donnie Hanks

Memorial services for Donnie Wayne Hanks 67 of Columbia will be held 10:00 am Saturday July 11, 2015 at the Clarks Baptist Church with Rev. Jack McKeithen officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 am until time of service. Donnie Wayne Hanks was born on October 30, 1948 in Houston, Texas to the union of Herman and Gertrude Palmer Hanks and passed from this life on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe following an extended illness. Donnie served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and had spent most of his career as a Deputy Sheriff including many years with the Caldwell Parish Sheriffs Office. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Frank Sebastin and Herman Hanks , and a sister: Ouida Hatfield. Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Donna Hanks of Columbia; two daughters: Donna Gillis of Shreveport and Susie McKinley of Keithville; two brothers: Marcus Hanks and Vernon Sebastin both of Mansfield and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
