Obituary of Marie Kinnison

Myrtis Marie McClung Kinnison (October 12, 1923) went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2015, following a short illness. Marie was married to Tamridge George Kinnison for 44 years. She was a mother to 4 children: Phyllis Marie Kinnison, Georgia Evelyn Kinnison Keesler and son-in-law Eric Keesler, Clifton Tamridge Kinnison and Malcolm Ross Kinnison. She had 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Norman McClung of Shreveport, LA and one sister, Iva Lee Brazzel of Ruston, LA. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Tamridge, son Clifton, and 4 siblings. Marie spent her life in service to others as a daughter, sister, mother, and wife. She served with her husband for 20 years in the Air Force, and later, as a pharmacy clerk at Pollard's Rexall Pharmacy and a library clerk at Caldwell Parish Library in Columbia, until she retired at the age of 80. She continued her service to the Lord as a prayer warrior in her church throughout her lifetime. Marie was blessed with a long and joyful life of 91 years. There will be a memorial service to celebrate that beautiful life and home-going. It is to be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Life Church on Hwy 4 (toward Winnsboro) in Columbia, LA. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you make a donation in Marie's memory to Teen Challenge of Louisiana.
