Obituary of Enoch Earl Poole

Funeral services for Enoch Earl Poole, age 78, of Grayson, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Daryl Floyd officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Wednesday from 8 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Enoch was born in Summerville, LA to the union of his parents Ernest LaVere and Kate Lena Roark Poole on December 1, 1936 and he passed from this life on October 18, 2015 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He had a life long career as a welder, until he retired. He then spent time with his family and friends. He loved to spend time in his shop and cook for the family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Alford "Bo" Poole and Bennie Poole; sisters: Nelda Poole Mitcham and Ineta Poole Brodnax; first wife: Marie Slay Poole. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and longtime companion: Gloria Poole of Grayson; children: Lennie Williams and her husband, Taylor "Bubba" of West Monroe; Earl Poole and his wife, Frances of Olla; Nancy Broussard and her husband, David of Grayson; step-children: Cathy Dunn and her husband, Eddie of Grayson; Charles Oxner and Brenda of Grayson; brothers and sisters: Bill Poole and his wife, Juanice of Aimwell; Clifford Poole of Jena; Beth Coleman and her husband, Roy of Olla; Kay Coleman of Jena; Jakki Richardson and husband, Donny of Jena, Charles "Buddy" Poole and his wife, Judy of Olla; Rebecca "Sissy" Beckley and her husband, Bobby of Hebert; grandchildren: Chad Poole and his wife, Christie of Jena; Justin Poole and his wife, Linzi of Benton; Mandy Nelson and her husband, Steven of Bossier; Scott Williams and his wife, Jessica of West Monroe; Amber Silvie and Jeff of Grayson; step-grandchildren: Madalyn Oxner Howard and her husband, Ethan of Columbia; Makayla Dunn of Grayson; Cady Oxner of Grayson; great-grandchildren: Austin Nelson, Cade Poole, Kaylynn Nelson, Adleigh Poole, Eli LaVere Young, Lily Nelson, Cassie Poole, Eleanore Williams, and EJ Howard; life-long friends: James "Sparky" Parker, Parson Aycock, Bobby Cockerham, and Dale Roark; and thirty-two neices and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews: Ernest "Peanut" Coleman, Billy Coleman, Joey Beckley, Jared Richardson, Bradley Poole, and Bobby Poole. Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews: David Wayne Poole, Alford Poole, Jr., Jerry Poole, Glynn Poole, Josh Beckley, Tim Poole, Robby Richardson, Jason Mitcham, Kevin Poole, Ashley Poole, Dale Poole, George Mitcham, Darren Mitcham, Matt Mitcham, and Ben Mitcham.
