Obituary of Mona Dean Davis

Funeral services for Mona Dean Davis , 61 of Columbia will be held 2:00 pm Monday October 26, 2015 from the sanctuary of Grace Christian Mission with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating. Louis Whitlock will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Little Star Cemetery at Holum. Visitation will begin on Sunday October 25 at the church at 10:00 am. Mona Dean Baker Davis was born on January 25,1954 at Crowley, LA and passed from this life on Saturday October 24 at her residence following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Willis Baker and Myrtle Jean Benoit Baker, her brothers: Ronnie, Jerry, Jimmy, Charly, Pinion, Donald, Mom Don and Roland Baker; her sisters: Alice Duhon, and Barbara Broussard. She was a member of Grace Christian Mission where she and her husband were pastoring. Left to cherish her memory: her husband of forty six years Bro. Ivy Davis Sr., her children: Lil Dalton Davis ,Jr (Sondra), John Davis (Tasha), Regina Beckley (Dick), Tommy Davis (Kay), Willis Jay Davis (Angie), Kenny Davis (Jessica), Felicia Tarver (Shannon), Becky Williamson (Ken) and Jon Allen Davis; all of Columbia; two brothers: Lynn Baker of Crowley and Jeffery Baker of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Cameron, McKenzie, Pookie, Schanah, Kelsey, NuNu, Mason, Tater, Katie, Levi, Little Tommy, Shonda, Ben, Paige, Toni, Wesley, Kaci, Tyler, Taylor, Hunter, and Ashlee; her great-grand children: Kyleigh, Brinleigh, Skyler, Slate, Landon and Gabe. Pallbearers include: Dalton, John, Tommy, Willis Jay, Kenny, and Jon Allen Davis. Honorary pallbearers include: Shannon, Dick, and Ken. Online registry/condolences: riserfuneralhomes.com
