Obituary of Dorothy Bates

Memorial services for Dorothy McKeithen Bates, age 75 of Columbia, will be held at 10AM, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the First Church of God in Columbia, LA. Mrs. Bates was born on March 25, 1940 in Laurel, MS to the union of her parents: Willie Albert and Ada Waggoner McKeithen and passed from this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at her residence. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: Billy McKeithen, Gloria Pair and Donald McKeithen. Those she left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Carroll Bates; son, Michael Joe Bates and wife, Tammie; grandson, Max Joshua Bates; brother, Denva McKeithen and wife, Delena all of Columbia; aunt, Victoria Turner; brother-in-law, Hershel Pair both of Fort Worth, TX and sister-in-law, Terri McKeithen of OK.
