Obituary of Joshua Pilcher

A memorial service for Joshua McQuade Pilcher, age 32 of Grayson, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, Louisiana with Edward Leger officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 1 PM until time of service. Josh was born on August 19, 1983 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and passed away November 21, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He worked in the oilfield as a motorman. He loved his job and the oilfield life. Josh enjoyed hunting but he especially loved to fish and went as often as he could. He enjoyed firing up the grill and cooking for his family and friends. He loved deeply and forgave easily. He was always eager to help others, giving assistance in any way he could whether it be family, friends, or strangers in need. Josh was loved by everyone who knew him. His daughter, who adored her daddy, was the light of his life. Josh will be greatly missed. Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Marshall Pilcher; maternal grandparents, Ruth and Carl Brown; and step-grandfather, James Leger. He is survived by his wife, Jenny Nicole Martinez Pilcher; daughter, Rebekah Nicole Pilcher; mother, Shannon Brown Leger and husband, Edward of Hot Springs, AK; father, Dennis Pilcher and wife, Lisa of Many, LA; brothers: Brody Pilcher and wife, Stormie and Trent Leger all of Florien, LA; sisters: Tabitha Dubois and husband, Steve and Colten Mary and husband, Terrell all of Many, LA; grandmother, Ruth Pilcher; step-grandmother, Susie Leger; mother- and father-in-law: Juanita and Jamie Martinez, Sr.; brother-in-law, Jaime Martinez, Jr. and wife, Kaley; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
