Obituary of Edgar Grant

Graveside services for Edgar "Buddy" Grant, age 75 of Kelly, will be 11 AM Sunday March 29, 2009 at Little Star Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM until service time. Mr. Grant was born in Kelly on August 26, 1933 to the union of Ocie Ola and Lovie Loretta Sharp Grant and passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, two wives; Mona Faye Rawls Grant and Hazel Poole Grant, two infant sons, brother, Grady Grant, sister, Louise Herndon and special friend, Ester Hood. Survivors include three brothers; Arthur Grant and wife, Emma Lou of Clearmont, FL, Ocie Grant of Kelly and LW Grant and wife, Gloria Ann of Columbia, two sisters; Evelyn Greenwood of Kelly and Gladys Percell and husband, John of Winterpark, FL and a host of neices and nephews. Pallbearers will be Sam Greenwood, Randy Greenwood, Jim Naquin and Randall George.
