Obituary of Ferlin Leon Johnson

Funeral services for Ferlin Leon Johnson, age 56, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Bosco Baptist Church with Bro. Marcelle Ronquille officiating. Interment will follow at Bosco Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia and Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the church. Ferlin was born September 24, 1959 to Floyd Johnson and Clariece Hair O'Quinn in Monroe and he passed from this life on January 6, 2016 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a truck driver. He loved to fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by Floyd Johnson; brother: Johnny Johnson; grandparents: Larkin and Odell Hair. He is survived by 4 boys: Joseph, Daniel, Cody, and Micah Johnson; mother and father: James and Clariece O'Quinn; brother: Michael O'Quinn; 5 sisters: Lisa Breaux, Pam Williams, Denise Lowrey, Diana K. Flowers, and Carla Howard; 3 grandchildren: Katelynn Winstead, Lisa Johnson, and Evan Johnson; 3 uncles: Henry Hair, Willie Hair, and L.T. Hair; 2 aunts: Helen Massey and Eunice Braddock; special friend: Ruby Clay. Pallbearers will be Forrest Clay, Donald Duke II, Michael Hair, Destin Duke, Robert Alcocer, and John Mathis.
