Obituary of Mary McNeil

Funeral services for Mary E. McNeil, age 84 of Columbia, LA will be held at 2PM Friday, April 15, 2016 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Ralph McClary officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery, Rosefield, LA. Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 5PM until 8PM. Mrs. McNeil was born on September 12, 1931 in West Monroe, LA to the union of her parents, Algia Eustace Barnett and Dottie Mae Moore Barnett and passed from this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Haven Nursing Center, Columbia, LA. Mary was a devoted Jehovah's Witness who enjoyed studying her Bible. She had many hobbies including reading, quilting, cooking and tending her flower garden. But, the focus of her life was her family who she deeply loved and greatly adored. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. McNeil and two sons: Randy Roberts and William McNeil. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Mac McNeil (Mary); daughter, Robinette McKee (Faron); two brothers: David Barnett and Leo Barnett; three sisters: Paula Hogan, Susan Hollis and Faye May; grandchildren: Alisha N. Shumaker (James), Alanna R. Garcia (Roland), Ron Roberts, Estelle McCullough, Ashlynn Brossett and Kimberly Roberts and twelve great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Barnett, Robert Barnett, Frankie Martinez, Jaime Martinez, Will Minger and Craig Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Garcia and James Shumaker.
