Obituary of Cory Ponds

Funeral services for Cory Richard Ponds, age 24 of Urania, will be 10AM Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with family and friends delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Tullos. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5PM to 9PM at Riser Funeral Home in Olla. Cory was born on May 29, 1984 in Alexandria to his parents, Richard Ponds and Lisa Babcock and passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Archie F. and Barbara Ponds. Survivors include his wife, Tamara Bradford Ponds of Urania, his father, Richard Ponds of Tullos, his mother, Lisa Babcock of CA, son, Caden Richard Ponds of Urania, two daughters; Kelsey Michelle Ponds and Emily Faith Ponds both of Urania and expecting fourth child in January 2010, two sisters; Heidi Jackson of CA and Mary Rose Ponds of Tullos, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Scott Langley, Wayne Spicer, Steven Chalander, Robert Bagley, Charles Woodriff and Carl Casteel.
