Obituary of Arthur "Bo" Spikes, Jr.

Funeral services for Arthur “Bo” Spikes, Jr. age 77, of Columbia, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Ken Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Bo was born July 11, 1940 to the union of Arthur and Hazel Spikes in Columbia and he passed from this life on July 29, 2017 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.

He was an outdoorsman, avid hunter, and a taxidermist. He was a loving husband, father and paw paw. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Patricia Spikes of Columbia; two sons: Brent Spikes and his wife Shannon of Fort Wayne, IN; Keith Spikes and David Gray of Elizabeth, IL; two daughters: Sandy Tucker and her husband  Gary of Columbia; Karen Moore and her husband Tim of Eros; brother: Millard Girod; grandchildren: Julie Santos, Jeff Tucker, Tim Moore, Cody Moore, Casey Moore, Aaron Spikes, Adalyn Spikes, and Quinton Spikes.

Pallbearers will be Zeb Tucker, Daniel Ferguson, Dwight Rogers, Darrell Phillips, Daniel Barnes, and Dan Wallace.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Duke Wallace, Don Patterson, and Millard Girod.
