Obituary of Jan Marie Jackson

Graveside services for Jan Marie Jackson, age 65, of Vidor, TX, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Columbia Hill Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Evans officiating.

Jan was born June 14, 1952 to the union of Jack and Alberta Lowe Matlock in Port Arthur, TX and she passed from this life on September 2, 2017 at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont.

She was a Veterinary Tech at McGowan Veterinary Hospital for 37 years. She loved life, was fun loving, and she never met a stranger. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved animals and kept up with the world news. She was the poster child for breast cancer awareness and had her picture on a billboard in Beaumont, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband: Ray Jackson of Vidor, TX; son: Ray Henry Jackson of Vidor, TX; daughter: Cassandra Jackson of Washington, D.C.; sister: Sandra Esch of Wilmington, Delaware; grandson: Gunner Ray Jackson; brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Norva Lee Jackson.

Pallbearers will be the Hackers: Ed Malcomb, Paul Douglas, Buddy Clark, Ken Jackson, Craig Roark, and Ladd Jackson.
